Develop core strength
Get the body of a dancer! In these classes we teach a series of small isometric movements designed to tone the hips, arms, thighs and glutes. The Balance Barre technique concentrates on developing core strength, lifting the seat muscles, creating postural alignment and toning the whole body without creating bulk. We show students how to master these small movements by using body weight on the mat, light dumbbells, straps and the ballet bar itself. Each strength section of the class is followed by a series of stretches, which results in longer, leaner muscles and more flexibility. It's a great workout - you’ll leave feeling toned, long, and lean!
