Kathryn Elizabeth Kelly teaches Balance Burn, Barre, and Pilates at Balance Gym. In addition to being Lagree-certified, Kathryn is certified in a variety of styles of Barre, Pilates, Cycle, and dance fitness, and she is a Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT), a Certified Health Coach (ACE-CHC), and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA-CGFI). As one of six Master Trainers for POP Pilates, Kathryn travels the country leading workshops to train and certify brand new POP Pilates instructors. Kathryn’s background is in ballet, contemporary dance, and classical theatre, and she still choreographs and performs professionally. Outside of the studio, Kathryn works with private clients as a personal development coach and holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF-PCC).
The Balance Barre technique concentrates on developing core strength, lifting the seat muscles, creating postural alignment, and toning the whole body without creating bulk.
An exercise technique developed by Joseph Pilates that focuses on strengthening the core. Exercises are performed in a fluid and rhythmic fashion.
