Rejuvenate with one of our several yoga classes at Balance Gym Glover Park.

Each style focuses on a different concept or practice, emphasizing (for example) alignment of the body, coordination of the breath and movement, energy flow, or extended poses. Yoga is one of the world's most popular exercises, and is unique in its ability to bring benefits to all regardless of age or ailment.

Our yoga classes include:

VINYASA FLOW YOGA:

Vinyasa means "breath synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the powers of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dancelike. Classes build heat, endurance, flexibility, and strength.

POWER YOGA:

Based on Sun Salutations A and B, this class will challenge yet encourage students to take their existing yoga practices to the next level. Incorporating warrior postures, standing and arm balances and inversions, this vigorous class builds physical endurance and stamina. Bring a towel and water, students should be prepared to sweat!

Relax and Renew: 

Open to all levels of practice and abilities, our soothing gentle class focuses on an exploration of basic yoga poses and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. Therapeutic in nature, you will learn techniques to help you gain flexibility, while immersing yourself in a relaxing class that moves at a perfectly slower pace - allowing ample time to enjoy each pose. Expect lots of stretching & lingering in supported seated poses. Meditation and relaxation techniques will also be introduced, perfect for stress relief and overall well being.

Rise and Shine 

Rise and Shine Yoga will be a gentle morning yoga session to help your body wake up and your mind to become focused. We will start slowly, with gentle stretches and warm ups to get our blood flowing. We will then move into deeper stretching and toning to invigorate our bodies, and we will finish with cooling stretches and quiet relaxation to help our minds prepare for the day. You will leave this class prepared to face the day with a sense of power and tranquility. This class is perfect for anyone who wants a peaceful start to their day.

Power Flow

Power flow is a fast paced vinyasa class, that incorporates lots of sun salutations, standing postures, core strengthening, arm balances, and some inversions.
