Doris started pole in 2012 and has been a member of Balance Gym since 2013. The strength-training challenge of the sport hooked her immediately and she incorporates pole climbs, core conditioning, and tricks into her classes — prepare to work hard! She has taught at Balance since 2017 because she hopes to share how pole allows students to gain confidence in their bodies, express themselves without judgment, set and achieve goals, and become part of a supportive and encouraging community. Doris has trained in pole studios across the U.S. and around the world. She also loves aerial hoop/lyra, silks, aerial straps, and flying trapeze and is an avid runner, swimmer, and yogi.
