My Training History
I’ve been a trainer for ten years. I decided to go into the fitness industry since I’ve been an athlete nearly all of my life and I felt that I could use the skills and experience that I’ve accumulated to serve others.
Training Approach
My training philosophy is centered on compound resistance exercises for strength, power, and muscle growth, aerobic/anaerobic training when fat loss is a goal, and corrective exercises for the muscular imbalances and incorrect movement patterns which many people have. The heart of the resistance training consists of barbell-loaded movements including the squat, deadlift, military press, bench press, and row, along with certain bodyweight exercises including pull-ups and dedicated core training.
Why Train With Me?
In addition to traditional training in the gym, I have experience coaching individuals to prepare for the Marines, Army, JAG, and special forces. I participated in track & field through college and post-collegiately where I earned Division I All-American honors, and have since moved on to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and continue strength training.
Outside the Gym
In my spare time, I enjoy training, gardening, foreign languages and spending time on my kayak.
