Santos Palma hails from Arlington VA. He acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science at Marymount University, as a physical therapy major. Santos aspires to open his own Physical Therapy school.
Mr. Palma believes working out should not be a punishment. “You’ll always have a good time in our sessions, they won’t be easy but they won’t be boring.” He does functional fitness with odd shaped objects over varying distances and lengths of time. His motto is “Strength is never a weakness.”
Santos trained LAX athletes at Marymount, and worked with clients from ages 7 years old to 71 years old! He trained firefighters to pass tests and ran physical therapy when he was in the Air Force.
On answering “Why is training important for clients? (Mentally, socially, physically etc)?” Mr. Palma quotes Socrates:
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” Working out is the one time in your day when you are in full control of how far you are willing to test your limitations.
How can Santos help you?
“When I first started working out, I could not do a quarter squat. I can now squat 405 pounds—if you have a limitation I can help fix it.”
Santos Palma focuses on powerlifting as a hobby and even competed in Crossfit for a bit. “I was the 1000 fittest man in VA in 2015! I am also a certified Parkour instructor and in my free time I teach parkour to kids and the elderly.”
