Growing up Angela played sports, you could say she was born with a competitive spirit. Sports included sailing, soccer, basketball, swimming, and rugby after grade school. Her first experience with CrossFit was in 2013 and the workout was “Fight Gone Bad”. Before that she was doing Olympic lifting on her own. Angela embraces the community aspect of CrossFit by doing every workout before coaching, no matter the movements. By doing the workouts beforehand, it allows her to better prepare athletes for the workout that day. Angela was hooked on the process and 2016 was her first year participating in the open, which is when it all “clicked” for her.
As a coach, she truly enjoys watching athletes grow mentally and physically, breaking barriers down that they once thought were not possible. She wants my athletes to feel comfortable getting uncomfortable and enjoy themselves. When she is not coaching or training Angela enjoys playing rugby, hanging out with her dog, Charlie, and cooking.
