Celebrate Capital Pride 2019 with Balance Gym

Balance Gym is excited to celebrate Capital Pride 2019 next month! This is our 10th year participating in DC Pride, and we’re looking forward to making this year’s celebration bigger and better than ever. There are a ton of ways to get involved with this year’s Pride events – check them out, and we hope to see you on June 8 for the Parade and our After-Party!

  • Pride Parade: You’ve probably seen the Balance team pulling our famous van during the Pride Parade year after year! Make sure to cheer for us when you see us during this year’s parade, and if you’d like to participate in the parade and help us pull the van, email Naomi Osborne to sign up. Then, come join us for our Pride After Party on the roof at Thomas Circle – we’ll have a DJ, food, and booze to celebrate! Check out our Facebook event (coming soon) for more information and to RSVP.
  • Attend Other Pride Events: In addition to the parade, there are several ways to celebrate Capital Pride during Pride weekend. On June 8, check out the Capital Pride Parade Block Party, where you can enjoy entertainment, food trucks, and a beverage garden before, during, and after the Pride Parade. And on June 9, enjoy the Capital Pride Concert and Sunset Dance Party on 3rd and Pennsylvania Avenue, featuring entertainment from international headliners and our best local and regional LGBTQ+ talent.
  • Donate or Volunteer with DC Pride: You can support Capital Pride by making a donation to the Capital Pride Legacy Fund, which provides direct financial support to community organizations; supports the annual Pride volunteer program, and helps keep marquee events like the Pride Parade free to the public. There are also many ways to participate in Pride weekend as a volunteer – check them out here!

* Keep an eye out for more information about Capitol Pride in the upcoming weeks.
