Karolin is the director at CrossFit Balance Foggy Bottom, where she oversees all programming for our members. Her athletic career has included a wide variety of sports, including horseback riding, soccer, ice hockey, boxing, and football. She took her first CrossFit class in 2012 – her first workout was “Fran,” and after 20 minutes of thrusters and jumping pull-ups, she never wanted to do CrossFit again. She did try it again, though, and several weeks later joined a friend’s team for a throwdown at CrossFit Balance Thomas Circle, where she fell in love with CrossFit and the community.
Karolin’s passion as a CrossFit coach is to help people reach their fitness goals and especially in the area of nutrition. She strives to motivate and inspire other people to tackle weaknesses without fear, get stronger mentally and emotionally which stems from a base of dedication, consistency and goal setting in their daily routines. When she is not training and coaching, Karolin enjoys being with her family and her dog, Glute, playing soccer, going on adventures in nature, and traveling the world. She is also an avid Yahtzee player and burger eater!
