Meet Our Newest Team Members: Sarah Buie and Pablo Brown

This month, we’re thrilled to welcome Sarah Buie and Pablo Brown to new roles on the Balance Gym team. Read on to learn a little more about them, and make sure to say hi when you see them around the gym!

Sarah Buie – Group Exercise Director, Balance Gym Foggy Bottom

Sarah is coming to Balance Gym from the boutique fitness industry, having taught and held management positions at both solidcore and BLAST. Sarah’s background is in the arts and design, but her passion for fitness has driven her to a full-time career in the fitness industry and she is excited to share that passion with Balance Gym! Always seeking out new challenges, Sarah recently picked up boxing and CrossFit, so you may find her around Balance trying out both!

Pablo Brown – Personal Training Director, Balance Gym Foggy Bottom

Pablo Brown has dedicated his life to the pursuit of sport, whether it be surfing in California, playing competitive high-school fútbol in Colombia, hiking active volcanoes in the Andes of Argentina, or most recently, grunting in frustration on local golf courses. Since 2011, he has made it his passion to improve peoples’ lives through the lingua franca of CrossFit.

In 2009, a friend who was preparing for the City of Miami Fire Department introduced Pablo to CrossFit as an alternative training regiment; he has never looked back. CrossFit’s constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity helped Pablo surpass his fitness goals and provided a whole new set of challenges. CrossFit took everything Pablo loved about sport and put it in a “box.”

His mission is to help others be better today than they were yesterday and to prepare for tomorrow. Pablo loves to train athletes and believes there are fewer rewards greater than helping others achieve their goal, whether it be their first pull-up or completing an ultra-marathon through the Gobi Desert.
