Member Spotlight: Adam Palmer
Adam joined CrossFit six years ago, and was hooked after losing 30 lbs in his first three months! According to coach Danielle Dionne, Adam’s effort and energy in class is infectious, and he’s always encouraging others to do their best and reach their goals. Read on to learn more about Adam’s proudest CrossFit accomplishment, his goals for 2018, and how he fits fitness into his busy schedule!

How long have you been CrossFitting? 6 yrs
Why do you CrossFit? I do Crossfit for a healthy mind and body
What made you decide to try CrossFit?
An ex-girlfriend signed me up for a class. I lot 30 lbs in my first 3 months.
What’s your favorite CrossFit workout/movement?
My favorite movement is definitely the Strict Press
What’s been your proudest CrossFit moment so far?
I would have to say doing a 350 lb Sumo Deadlift after having had back surgery. That felt good.
What are some of your fitness goals for 2018?
My top two fitness goals for 2018 are to increase my shoulder mobility and to eat cleaner. I am giving the Pescatarian diet the old college try.
What do you like most about working out at Balance?
I enjoy the trainers and my fellow amazing Xfitters
What do you like to do outside the gym for fun?
I like hanging with my dog (Daphne), hiking, Netflix, trying new restaurants and going to music concerts

How do you fit working out into your busy schedule?
I workout at 7am, so that gives me plenty of time to be ready to work by 9am
